I'm a gypsy, are u coming with me?

I created Paola the gypsy in the shortest period, around 3 days. I'm sure you can tell why. Cause no beading involved. She'll be a farewell gift to my first dance teacher, Paola. She always claims that she's a gypsy and that's how I got the idea of making this. Hope she'll take good care of her. I'll sure miss Paola, both real and plushed!

Nadhiyah

After a long break, I’m back with Nadhiyah, the Lebanese bellydancer. I used a combination of purple and patterned fabric so that I can minimize the usage of beads. The design is influenced by my teacher’s teacher, Sahara. She’ll be here next week to conduct some workshops and my teacher will be adopting Nadhiyah as a gift to Sahara. I’m not sure why both bellydancer plushies with black hair have massive head… but if you compare Nadhiyah and Tikvah with the rest of the plushies, you will be able to see the difference!

Zareen means golden

I named her after her gold costume. She has blue sparkling eyes if you look closely (really closely!). The fabric, flower beads on the skirt and bra turned out really well. Although the fabric is a 'lil slippery to start off with, I managed to put it in place by putting some white glue on all the sides. Wanted to mix with red beads, but the gold fabric didn't go well with red beads and so I just stick to everything gold, making her gold and sparkly :D Her initial hair color also should be blonde + brown but she turned out looking like a mop! So I changed her back to brown + black...

Meet Isis

For some reasons, I find her most Egyptian looking. Maybe because of the green costume. I gave her the name Isis, a name that I got from an Egyptian names site. The name means mythical goddess of magic and is the most powerful of all female goddesses; sister to Osiris. She’s a darling to me…

Yasmine

Her name is Yasmine, posing in my garden. She has very nice pinky complexion. Although her white costume might not stand out on her fair skin, she still looks sweet in it…
